FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WILL YOU SELL/TRADE OUT OF YOUR COLLECTION?
Generally, no. I tend to keep the patches I obtain for the collection permanently. Rare exceptions can be made to the rule only if the patch you are requesting from me can be easily replaced.
HOW DOES THE SCARCITY SCALE WORK?
The scarcity scales shown on some patch descriptions are opinionated. The editors of this site have broad discretion to input any relevant facts that explain their opinion.
A "1" rating is defined as being extremely difficult to obtain.
A "5" rating is defined as being pretty simple to obtain.
I DON'T SEE A PATCH ON THIS SITE. DO YOU HAVE IT?
Chances are if a patch is not seen on this site, I do not have it. I make every effort to showcase my entire collection here, however, there are a few that must be kept offline due to non-disclosure agreements. The non-disclosure agreements terminate when I find the same patch/es revealed online by another collector or seller.
WHO DO YOU WORK FOR? ARE YOU ASSOCIATED WITH ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY?
I am employed in the private sector and have no official association with any law enforcement agency or government entity at this time.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU UPDATE YOUR SITE?
I will do my best to update the site at least once a month. Due to family obligations, I can not update daily like I used to. I will have site contributors to update blogs and patch descriptions for me as they see fit. These contributors are all volunteers and do the work on their own time. They too, have lives to live.
WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR OLD WEB SITE?
The old website was discontinued due to outrageous pricing by the photo hosting service, Photobucket. They had abruptly changed their terms of service agreement and they now require their users to pay a fee of nearly $400.00 a year. With that cost being out of the question, the decision to close the old site was made.
DO YOU COLLECT FIRE DEPT PATCHES, TOO?
I only collect fire patches from my local area. To venture into another field as broadly as I do with the law enforcement stuff with the same intensity is costly and time consuming to pursue at the moment.
